A new limited series from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight will feature Elisabeth Moss as its lead. The Veil, a new Hulu Original series touted as a thriller that centres on the relationship between two women who play a dangerous game of truth and lies on the road from Istanbul to Paris and London, has reportedly received a limited series order from FX (opens in new tab). Before thousands of lives are lost, one woman has a secret, and the other is on a journey to find out what it is.

Together with Moss, who will executive produce the show under the name of her production business Love & Squalor Pictures, Knight is slated to write and executive produce the show. I’m beyond excited to be telling this tale, which is truly global and highly modern, added Knight. “Some of the best talent in the industry has been assembled by us. Elisabeth Moss has been someone I’ve wanted to work with for a very long time, and working with Denise Di Novi is always a delight. FX and I are, of course, longtime friends. I predict that this will be a historical television moment.”
The Peaky Blinders director is presently working diligently on the movie version of the series, which is scheduled to start production in 2023. Knight also has a biopic-style series about Enzo Ferrari in development for Apple, as well as an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations for FX and BBC. Moss recently appeared in the time-traveling horror series The Shining Girls on Apple TV Plus, and in The Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu she will continue her dystopian journey as June Osborne.
