An investigation led to the arrest of a man in Florida who reportedly struck his wife with a Christmas tree. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office reported that Richard Atchison, 52, “lost his anger” when his wife asked him to assist her to make supper. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said that Richard Atchison “lost his temper.”
Her request led to a heated debate, after which Atchison began gathering his belongings in preparation for his exit. Because he had been drinking, his judgment was impaired and he decided against going to his automobile.
After returning to the house, he informed his wife that she would need to depart.
