A major roadway was briefly closed by a collision on the west side of Franklin County on Thursday afternoon, and there are still significant delays.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, a semi-truck carrying milk overturned in an accident on Interstate 70 in the westbound direction close to Cole Road, just west of Hilliard Rome Road.

I-70 East was closed as a result of the collision, and only the left lane is currently open as workers clear the scene. At 1:45 pm, there was a nearly eight-mile eastbound traffic jam.
According to an FCSO representative, the semi-truck driver received treatment on the spot and did not sustain serious wounds.
