A comedian, actress, writer, and singer hailing from Bristol, England, Jayde Pricilla Gail Adams was born on November 26, 1984. She won the Edinburgh Comedy Awards’ Funny Women category in 2014 and was nominated for Best Newcomer that same year. The woman measures a high 6 feet and 2 inches in height.
Adams began performing stand-up comedy in 2011 after the untimely death of her sister Jenna from an inoperable brain tumor; the two had danced competitively for 13 years at their aunt’s dance school in Bristol. Born and raised in Bristol, Adams spent the better part of a decade learning freestyle disco moves from their aunt. At eighteen, she uprooted to South Wales, where she attended The University of Glamorgan to study theatre, theatre, and media. Adams brought experimental theatre and contemporary dance to the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay for his Welsh audience. She has a home in Leigh-On-Sea right now.
Adams was approached to join many other Adele impersonators for a show the BBC was doing on impersonators in 2015 after she had performed as an Adele lookalike on the London drag scene. Adams said, “I assumed it was going to be this reality show,” before leaving the recording session. Because she didn’t believe the producers’ motives, she passed up a chance to see Adele during a hoax set up by the BBC and Graham Norton for Adele at the BBC.
She actively helps drag performer Jonny Woo and is a strong advocate for the LGBT community. Adams often credits the London LGBT scene with helping her regain her self-assurance after her sister’s death in 2011, when she began performing live at drag clubs like the Royal Vauxhall Tavern.
Adams served as a judge at Miss Sink The Pink 2018, an annual drag queen talent competition, at The Roundhouse in Camden, London, in March 2018. Other judges included Melanie Blatt, Nicole Appleton, Shaznay Lewis from All Saints, Jaime Winstone, and British fashion designer Gareth Pugh.

In a first for the show, a heteros*xual comedian choose a partner of the same s*x since the male companions “ain’t strong enough.” Bristol native and married comedian Jayde Adams, 37, is dancing this year with Karen Hauer Wyn-Jones. She revealed that she informed producers she was OK dancing with either a man or a woman and that she favored the thought of lifting her female partner over being stolen herself.
“I pictured myself being on this show and I manifested it years ago, and I thought to myself, ‘It would be great if it was a woman because I would be able to lift her,” she stated.

From her perspective as a viewer of the show from 2004, she considers Mark Ramprakash and Karen Hardy’s tango performance of the James Bond theme song in 2006. It’s the dance I enjoy the most but the one I’m least skilled at. She compared it to climbing Mount Everest, saying, “We can get to a point where my dancer feels like we can accomplish it.
Same-s*x couples including Adams and Hauer Wyn-Jones and Radio 2 host Richie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice will be on display. Richie, 34, who is gay, stated that when he was offered the show and given an option about his partner’s gender, he went home and asked his boyfriend, Dean Eagles, about it. Eagles told him, “you have to dance with a male,” because October’s tenth anniversary was.
