Jana Kramer And Mike Caussin Relationship Timeline
Kramer, who is 37 years old, and Mike Caussin, who is 34 years old, have been dating since August 2014. Kramer ended her engagement to fellow country musician Brantley Gilbert in August 2013. When she married actor Johnathon Schaech for a short time in 2011, they had a very public divorce (after marrying in July 2010, the pair split not long after and finalized their divorce in June 2011).
In 2004, she was also married to Michael Gambino. Caussin popped the question in December 2014, only four months after the couple first began dating. Kramer stated, “It was a nice surprise,” to PEOPLE at the time. “He exemplified the epitome of chivalry. On one knee, with many of our closest loved ones looking on, and feeling the butterflies.”
That Kramer and Caussin were expecting their first child was revealed in August of 2015.
Finally, in January of 2016, they became parents to a baby girl named Jolie Rae. Kramer told PEOPLE at the time, “Words can’t even begin to convey how much happiness I’m experiencing right now.” “A word cannot describe the feeling of holding my newborn daughter, who is both healthy and lovely. Both Michael and I are overjoyed by this incredible gift.”
They broke up in August of 2016 when Caussin checked into a rehab facility for treatment of what they initially said was depression but was later proven to be an s*x addiction. A close friend of Kramer told PEOPLE at the time, “This has been difficult for Jana, but her focus is being there for Jolie.” Kramer told PEOPLE in October that they broke up due to Caussin’s adultery.
“Mike was the largest of the betrayals because it was the first time in a relationship that I actually liked the version of me,” she explained. “I was vulnerable and at ease with myself; I no longer felt the need to show my worth. In reality, I fell for it.”
In a statement to PEOPLE, Caussin said: “For the hurt, I have caused Jana, I am really sorry for my past acts and words. To become a better spouse and father, I have taken and will continue to take the necessary steps to alter my character.” Kramer informed the public in September 2020 that Caussin had filed for divorce around that time.
In September 2017, Kramer confirmed that Caussin was still “still my spouse, absolutely” during an interview on Bachelor alum Olivia Caridi’s Mouthing Off podcast. Since they know that she and her husband are legally divorced, they refer to him as her “estranged husband.” No, the courtroom wasn’t the place where we were divorced. Kramer stated that once Caussin was out of rehab, they began “actively working” on their problems.
Kramer stated, “Right now, I’m just trying to work things out for our family.” “It’s a day at a time. We are not legally separated or divorced, and he is not my long-lost husband.” ‘Legally, he is my husband,’ she went on. “My finger is adorned with a ring. Every day is a struggle; there are times when I think, “I can’t do this.”
Sometimes I say, “No, fight for it,” but then other times I mean it. We need it for our kids. Because I have a history of giving up too easily, I’m eager to put in the time and effort required to win this battle.” In response to Caussin’s repeated infidelity, Kramer filed for divorce from him on Wednesday. A source tells PEOPLE, “He cheated and violated her trust again.”
“It’s taken her a long time, but she’s finally accepted the fact that her husband will never change his ways. Their kids are now the main priority.” Kramer posted the caption “It’s time” on Instagram, suggesting the end of her marriage. Please know that I still have faith in marriage, love, and starting over. “There’s nothing left in me to keep fighting. Get some rest and start feeling better.
In many respects, you have fought this battle with me, and I am eternally grateful for the love, compassion, and support you have shown me. You can’t win this battle by yourself, but I’ll constantly encourage you to keep fighting.”
Jana Kramer Claims Her Ex-husband Mike Caussin Cheated on Her With Over a 13 Women
One Tree Hill alumna exposes ex-husband Mike Caussin’s infidelity with “more” than 13 women, telling Jada Pinkett Smith about it in a teaser clip for the forthcoming episode of Red Table Talk. Jana, who filed for divorce from Mike in April 2021, choked back tears as she remarked, “I know we’re both in better situations” on the Facebook Watch series.
“Nonetheless, I realize that this year, Christmas morning won’t find my children in my care. Wow, I can already feel the pain from that one.” Jana and Mike were married for almost six years and had a daughter, Jolie, age six, and a boy, Jace, age three before they divorced. When it happens, I feel like, ‘That’s not fair,'” Jana added. “You ruined my hopes for my loved ones, too. This is not right.”
Mike, a former NFL tight end, hasn’t publicly commented on Jana’s RTT statements, but he has admitted to being unfaithful and went to rehab in 2016 for s*x addiction. After many ups and downs, Jana finally declared the dissolution of her marriage on Instagram in the spring of 2021. She even wrote, “I’ve fought y’all,” at one point. “Have loved passionately and deeply.
As for me, I’ve already moved on. I have made an effort to achieve my goals. I’ve exhausted my resources and have nothing left to contribute. The time has come.” Please know that I still have faith in marriage, love, and starting over. “There’s nothing left in me to keep fighting. Get some rest and start feeling better. In many respects, you have fought this battle with me, and for that, I am eternally thankful.”
