Here we are talking about Jemison High School Shooting. Early on Tuesday morning, the Huntsville Police Department (HPD) was alerted to a report of a potential active shooter at Mae C. Jemison High School.

According to HPD Sgt. Rosalind White, who spoke to News 19, officers searched the whole school property and looked through security tapes in search of a potential culprit.

Between 8 and 8:10 a.m., according to White, school cameras did not capture any evidence of a shooter. They added that no victims have been reported.

The following statement was released by Huntsville City Schools: “Out of an abundance of caution, the Jemison/McNair campus has been placed on lockdown. While there do not appear to be any credible reports of any incidents at this time, there is a prominent police presence on campus. Normal operations will resume as quickly as possible. We ask families and visitors to avoid coming to campus at this time. Only authorized staff and law enforcement will be allowed access to our building.“
