She emphasized the 45-year-old drummer’s strength and bravery in her message, which featured a montage of pictures of him. Adam Green, Jeremiah’s brother, gave Fox News Digital an update on his health on Tuesday.
Considering the circumstances, he is doing well, Adam said. “Even though he had cancer, he continued to perform up to the final West Coast performance after the doctor gave him the all-clear. He intends to return to the road in spring in South America. He still has roughly 4 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy left.”

On Sunday, Seattle-based DJ Marco Collins shared Green’s prognosis on social media. Collins posted a black and white photo of Green playing the drums and said, “Just found out my friend Jeremiah Green (Modest Mouse) has dropped off the band’s tour since he is presently having chemo treatments to beat Stage 4 Cancer.
Collins mentioned Green’s “prognosis is favorable,” he wrote, adding the following: “Sending him only love & healing energy! Well done, friend. Everyone is rooting for you!”
On December 20 in Washington, D.C., Modest Mouse ended their tour honoring the 25th anniversary of their album “The Lonesome Crowded West.”
The group will take the stage in March when they play the three South American Lollapalooza events in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil.
Green co-founded Modest Mouse in 1992 and has played drums for the group ever since. According to Sources, he took a year off from the band in 2003 after having a mental breakdown.
In July, the frontman of Modest Mouse, Isaac Brock, revealed to NME that the group is writing new music. The Golden Casket, the most recent album by Modest Mouse, was released in 2021.
