Jim Bohannon is an American who works on both radio and TV. He is best known for hosting The Jim Bohannon Program, a late-night radio talk show on the Westwood One Network that is heard all over the country. Before he retired in December 2015, he also hosted America in the Morning, a radio news show that was heard all over the country. After Bohannon graduated from Southwest Missouri State in 1966, he joined the U.S. Army and served for four years.

Jim stayed in Washington, D.C. after he got out of the US Army. During the 1970s, he worked in different radio jobs. There were stops at WTOP, WRC, and an easy-listening station called WGAY. In 1980, Jim took a job at WCFL in Chicago, which was in the Midwest, where he had grown up.
