Jimmy Buffett Illness: JIMMY BUFFETT has canceled the remaining dates of his 2022 tour following a “short hospitalization” for unspecified medical reasons. The musician, also known as “Parrotheads,” known for his timeless hymn “Margaritaville” and his legions of admirers, shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday.
For the remainder of the year, Jimmy will not be touring due to health concerns and brief hospitalization. He must use this time to rest and recover, per the doctor’s directions,” the note said. Jimmy is eager to return to the stage the following year.
All the impacted dates are in October, with the cancellation of two (October 10 in Salt Lake City and October 12 in Nampa, Idaho). In the spring of 2023, the three shows will be made up in San Diego and two in Las Vegas.

Buffett, 75, is a seasoned traveler who performs barefoot with his Coral Reefer Band at national theaters, straddling the folk, rock, and country genres. Buffett will be performing with the country group Zac Brown Band on a new rendition of their song “Same Boat,” it was reported earlier this week.
Buffett’s 2020 album, Life on the Flipside, inspired his current tour title. He spoke to Rolling Stone on “living like it’s your final day” in that particular year. “You think you’re probably living on borrowed time when you’ve had a couple of close calls, like an airplane accident or a stage dive,” he remarked.
