Joe Pickett Season 2 Storyline
Game Warden Joe Pickett (Zebastin Borjeau) and his father George Pickett (Kyle Mac) escape through the woods in the opening scene. Joe Pickett (Michael Dorman) wakes up as he falls down a steep incline. Picket looks over a shattered fence that a wild animal had torn down. The animal flees after he fires his pistol at it. In the distance, a man on a four-wheeler is gathering the materials he will need to fix the fence.
Vern would have done it, the man tells Joe, if he had asked him to pay for the repairs. Elk, according to Joe, is the responsibility of the State. In the distance, they hear gunfire. He leaves to examine more when the bullet struck flesh. A dead body lies in wait for Joe when he arrives at a scene featuring Ote Keeley (Benjamin Hollingsworth). He’s the elk hunting in the off-season. A deceased elk are considered “meat for the pot” because of its edible organs and meat.
If you want to stock your freezer, Joe claims you don’t have to kill a trophy to do so. When he threatens to issue him a ticket, Ote is taken aback. Joe nabbed Governor Budd of Wyoming for fishing without an appropriate permit. Ote is concerned about losing his family’s financial support if his professional outfitter’s license is revoked. Joe demands to see his driver’s license. Before Ote can reach Joe’s wallet, Joe pulls his revolver from his waistband.
He holds a gun to his head and says he’ll get him. Joe rejects the offer of a free ride because he didn’t write a ticket. As long as he avoided a hunting ticket, he would rather face a murder charge. Ote’s weapon is snatched from Joe’s grasp. He asks Ote whether he wants to leave his children without a father by pointing a gun at him. He can’t be killed by a police officer. He would be of little concern to the police if he died. Joe recalls a childhood memory in which he aimed a revolver at his sleeping father. Afterward, he puts the gun down and issues a citation to Ote.
This is Joe Pickett’s first season finale, and he hurries to see if Sheridan (Michael Dorman) is at home in the last episode, Open Season. Because she went out with her mother, April (Vivienne Guynn) is missing from the party. As soon as possible, Joe tells them to get ready to leave the house quickly. Missy (Sharon Lawrence) is awakened by him to tell her that Marybeth has been shot and Sheridan has gone missing.
One of the weasels Sheridan (Skywalker Hughes) has named Willie is spotted by Sheridan (Skywalker Hughes). Wacey (Paul Sparks) attempts shooting at them as she pushes Willie to go. Meanwhile, Sheridan stays out of sight in case Wacey starts throwing things at the blazing wood. Joe entrusts Lucy and April’s safety to the Bouvier sisters. As long as Missy and the dog stay with them, they’re welcome to stay with the sisters. In the squad car of Sheriff Barnum (Patrick Gallagher), Deputy McLanahan (Chad Rook) discovers a drunken Sheriff Barnum (Patrick Gallagher).
