Ciocco was a right winger in the BCHL for a few different teams, including the Vernon Vipers, Salmon Arm Silverbacks, Cowichan Valley Capitals, and Prince George Spruce Kings.

The Atco, NJ native skated for Vernon, Cowichan, and Salmon Arm in 2002-03, recording 38 goals and 43 points across 57 contests. In 103 career regular season BCHL games, he scored 59 goals and dished out 81 assists for a total of 140 points. Ciocco has coached as an assistant at Brown and UAA before joining the Merrimack programme.

After leaving the BCHL, Josh spent four years as a member of the University of New Hampshire hockey programme, eventually serving as captain of the Wildcats. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2007.

After two years playing for the Wheeling Nailers and Fresno Falcons of the East Coast Hockey League, he came back to the University of New Hampshire in 2010 to pursue his master’s in business administration.
