Justin Bieber has canceled all the remaining dates on his Justice World Tour, months after he had to postpone several of them due to an unexpected medical diagnosis. On Tuesday, the 28-year-old “Peaches” singer announced that he is canceling dozens of shows scheduled through next March to put his health first.
He said, “Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, where my face was partially paralyzed. I could not finish the North American leg of the Justice Tour due to this illness. Bieber went on to say that he resumed the tour in Europe in July, performing six different shows, after taking some time to rest and consult with his doctors, family, and team.
The celebrity claimed that doing so was exhausting and that following a recent performance in Brazil, he felt unable to continue his tour dates as scheduled. It affected me, he wrote. “I gave everything I had to the Brazilian people this past weekend when I performed at Rock in Rio. I was so worn out when I left the stage that I immediately understood I had to put my health first. So, for the time being, I’m going to stop touring.
I’ll be fine, but I need some downtime to recover.” Added Justin Bieber: “Introducing this show and our message of justice to the world has made me incredibly proud. We appreciate your prayers and support during this entire process. I adore each of you dearly!” Following COVID-related delays, the celebrity began his tour in March. However, he experienced some setbacks, including being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome in June.
The illness, which affected facial nerves and rendered the celebrity’s face partially paralyzed, led Bieber to cancel the tour’s North American leg. He started performing again in July and planned engagements through March 2023 in South America, South Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
Bieber had not yet rescheduled the North American dates that were postponed in June. The “Ghost” singer thanked his audience for “having me back” in an emotional message when he returned to the stage in July and later wrote on Instagram that he’d missed performing. His sixth studio album, Justice, which was released in March 2021, is being supported by the tour.
