Today, the Suffolk County Police arrested four people following a robbery at a Ronkonkoma smoke shop in the early hours. At around 12:35 a.m., five men entered the Lucky 7 Smoke Shop, situated at 404A Rosevale Ave.

During the robbery, one of the men brandished a handgun and restrained the store clerk, while the remaining four men seized both merchandise and cash from the cash register. Subsequently, all five perpetrators hastily fled the store and made their escape towards Rosevale Avenue.
An observant Highway Patrol officer witnessed the men’s escape, saw them entering a gray Volkswagen Jetta, and initiated pursuit. A backup was promptly requested.

When the Jetta eventually parked in a driveway on Terry Road, multiple occupants attempted to flee on foot, but the driver was successfully apprehended.
Units from the Fourth Precinct Patrol quickly established a perimeter, with Canine and Aviation Section officers also responding to the scene. Eventually, three of the fleeing men were located nearby and taken into custody.
The individuals apprehended, identified as Albert Diaz (22), Angel Argueta (19), Vasco Arnault (19), and an 18-year-old male, all residents of Wyandanch, have been charged with Robbery 1st Degree by detectives from the Fourth Squad.
