Knives Out Recap
In the first scene of Knives Out, Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead just hours after celebrating his 85th birthday with his family at his sizable Massachusetts estate.
A wealthy mystery author named Thrombey is discovered by his housekeeper with his throat cut. The police determine right away that the death was a suicide, but private investigator Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is hired undercover to look into the case.
Blanc quickly learns that there is a problem in the family after sitting down with several members of it. Money is being taken, egos are being hurt, and affairs are being conducted. When Thrombey’s will is read, everyone is shocked to see that his nurse Marta Cabrera (Ana De Armas) is the only beneficiary, which worsens the situation.
From there, things intensify as the family makes increasingly severe attempts to convince Marta to reject the inheritance.
Benoit Blanc, played by Craig, is an eccentric Sherlock Holmes-like sleuth who keeps a close eye on everything and hunts for the culprit.
