Here we are talking about Kop Mall Shooting. On Sunday afternoon, police shot a gun-wielding hit-and-run suspect in the King of Prussia Mall parking lot. The Upper Merion Police Department reported the suspect crashed his red Nissan Juke while evading police in the Seasons 52 restaurant parking lot at 2:30 p.m.
Police say the suspect exited the disabled vehicle and approached a police officer with a revolver. Authorities said the guy was shot twice in a gunfight with an officer.
Police said the officer was unharmed, although he was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Upper Merion Township police said a bicycle officer noticed the red Nissan accused of the earlier hit-and-run in the mall’s Green Deck parking garage.
The suspect fled at great speed and tried to escape the mall on Mall Boulevard near North Gulph Road before becoming trapped in traffic, police said.
Police said the suspect tried to escape by driving off a four-foot ledge into Seasons 52’s parking lot after noticing a police cruiser in the rearview mirror. The gunfire occurred there.
