According to a Lake County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post, a two-vehicle collision left one male and one lady injured. Police were called to a two-vehicle accident at North Ridge Road and Sivon Drive in Painesville Township around 3:35 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office. According to the accident investigation, a red 2022 Dodge Charger was approaching Sivon Drive while traveling west on North Ridge Road.
Near Sivon Drive, a blue 2017 Mazda 3 was traveling east on North Ridge Road. According to the Sheriff’s office, the Dodge Charger crossed the double yellow line to the left of the center and struck the Mazda. According to the sheriff’s office, the Dodge Charger went off the road, struck a fire hydrant, and came to rest against a power pole before rolling onto its driver-side door. The Mazda 3’s female driver suffered injuries and was brought to Tri-Point Medical Center for treatment. According to the sheriff’s office, the driver of the Dodge Charger required mechanical assistance to be freed.
He was brought to MetroHealth Trauma Center(Twitter Account) to receive medical attention for his wounds. According to the sheriff’s office, the extent of his injuries was unknown at the time. Alcohol does not yet seem to be a contributing element. This collision is still being looked into.
