The Lake County Clerk’s office wants to remind residents that Spring Break is a perfect time to get passports for the whole family. To make it easier, they’ll be extending passport processing hours at their North Lake and South Lake branch offices during Lake County Schools’ Spring Break, from March 10-14.
“This is a great opportunity for those unable to visit our office during our regular operating hours to apply for their passport,” said Gary Cooney, Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. “We’re hoping that by offering appointments for an additional 90 minutes daily throughout the week, customers will be able to get passports for themselves and their children.”
The Lake County Clerk’s office is extending passport processing hours from 8:30 am to 6 pm by appointment only at the North Lake Branch in The Villages (902 Avenida Central) and the South Lake Branch in Clermont (290 Citrus Tower Blvd., Suite 116).
As an official U.S. Department of State (DOS) acceptance facility, the office helps residents complete and submit their passport applications to the DOS for processing.
