Deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office have detained a man in connection with a shooting that occurred at an online gaming establishment on Wednesday night. Around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the incident took place close to Umatilla. When a worker at Hot Spot, the scene of the event, heard gunfire that injured a security guard, they dialed 911. “From the so-called Hot Spot online gaming casino, we got a call that bullets had been fired.

We arrived and saw the security guy had been shot “According to Lake County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Fred Jones. The injured security guard is still recovering. “When I went outside, I heard the gunshots. I observed some men hurrying to a pickup before they left “Lynn, a bystander stated. A person who was inside Hot Spot when the incident took place, according to Lynn, declined to provide her full name to WESH 2, she spoke.

They claimed there were two persons present, and as soon as the door opened, the man reached inside with the gun after the girl allegedly attempted to take it from him, according to Lynn. Lynn stated, “She said he shot the security guard sitting there, shot the security guard, then ran off sprinting outside the building, never even made it inside.” On Friday night, a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Travontae Harley, 33, while driving his Nissan Frontier.

The second suspect is still being sought after by detectives. A phone was discovered in the vicinity and the suspects fled the scene in a dark pickup before Harley was apprehended. After obtaining a search warrant, detectives discovered images of Harley’s cards on the phone. They were also able to link the phone’s account to Harley’s social media accounts.

Harley’s car included a Wawa receipt from the day of the Hot Spot shooting, and when detectives reviewed the Wawa’s security footage, they noticed two males who resembled the perpetrators. Three hours before the shooting, surveillance footage was captured. Harley is accused of attempted murder while committing a robbery and robbery with a pistol, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
