A suspect who engaged law enforcement for several hours in a confrontation in Lake County has passed away. According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Donald Charles Brady, 59, was shot by deputies and taken to the hospital, where he eventually passed away.
A Brady, armed with a handgun and a rifle, faced deputies when they went to a residence on Pine Island Road in an unincorporated region of Clermont, Florida, to check on the homeowner’s well-being, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Brady is the home’s owner, according to the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office stated that deputies “sought cover and attempted to talk with the subject, but he would not interact with deputies and retreated into the home.” Brady was shot at some time and rushed to the hospital. The sheriff’s office did not immediately provide details.
