Liger OTT Release Date: Where to Watch?

The Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda and the Bollywood actress Ananya Panday star in the new sports action movie Liger, which hit theatres on August 25. The film featured the Bollywood debut of Vijay Deverakonda, was filmed in Tamil and Telugu, and released in Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam.

Liger is now available on Disney+ Hotstar for those who could not watch it in theatres. On September 22 at midnight, the film was made available on the OTT platform in the four South Indian languages. According to reports, the Hindi version will be released later.

Liger Storyline

Liger and his mother Balamani relocate from Banaras/Karimnagar to Mumbai after the death of Liger’s father, Lion Balram, in the MMA National Championship. Balamani is so committed to making Liger a mixed martial arts champion that he takes him to a trainer named Christopher. Amid his pursuit of athletic greatness, Liger falls in love with Tanya.

Tanya, ashamed of her relationship with Liger, breaks up with him after learning from her brother Sanju that Liger has a stammering problem. Inspired by his opponent’s rejection, Liger wins the national title. Sanju and Tanya’s dad is paying for Liger to compete in the International Championship.

Every match is a victory for Liger, who advances to the finals. Days before the championship, though, Tanya is abducted. After learning this, Liger approaches Tanya’s dad. He admits he is at a loss since he cannot pay back the money he borrowed from a criminal to start his firm. Liger skips the final match because he is too busy trying to rescue Tanya on his own.

He unintentionally runs across Mark Henderson, Tanya’s kidnapper. It turns out that Liger looks up to Mark Henderson and considers him a hero in the ring. Attempting to win back Tanya, Henderson challenges him to a fight. During the MMA championship, the conflict will be broadcast live.

Liger is about to lose the match to Henderson until he recalls the words of wisdom from Balamani. Henderson snaps a photo of the trio (Liger, Tanya, and himself) and is so impressed by their abilities that he lets them leave. The MMA panel unanimously agrees that Henderson vs. Liger was the best encounter of the night. That’s why now Liger can compete with the best MMA fighters in the world.

Deverakonda Known by his stage name Vijay Sai, or Vijay Deverakonda, Vijay Sai is a film actor and producer primarily in Telugu cinema. Both the Filmfare and the SIIMA Awards went to him. Deverakonda made his first film in Telugu with Nuvvila and went on to star in the critically acclaimed flicks Yevade Subramanyam and Pelli Choopulu.

Ananya Panday

Ananya Panday is a famous Bollywood actress from India. She is the daughter of actor Chunky Panday and made her acting debut in 2019 with small parts in the teen comedy Pati Patni Aur Woh and the drama Student of the Year 2. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her work in these roles.
