Lily Collins Anorexia Battle
Lily Collins is known for frolicking around Paris in the hit show Emily in Paris. However, the actress has had both an eating disorder on screen and in real life, and she is still in the process of getting better. In 2017, Lily was in the Netflix movie To The Bone, which was about a young woman with an eating disorder who gets better after a stay in a hospital.
Emily took risks to be in the movie. Since she had been anorexic in the past, she lost weight for the role and talked to Harper’s Bazaar about it.

Collins got the script for To The Bone “by chance.” She said that she had just written a chapter in her own book about her recovery when the role fell into her lap. She did say she had never been sick enough to “need medical attention,” but doctors in 2022 know that being sick doesn’t require a dangerously low BMI.
“I saw it as a chance to learn more about my disorder. I was scared, but also really excited to finally use a character to tell my story and get it off my chest. “It made me feel very free,” she said.
