The new magical fantasy series on Netflix, Lockwood & Co. Just that there’s a modern spin on this show. Lockwood & Co., written and directed by Joe Cornish (Attack the Block, The Kid Who Would Be King), breathes fresh air into the stuffy ghost-hunting genre. The show centers on three teenagers attempting to save their city without adult supervision or corporate interference.
Ruby Stokes, a former Bridgerton sibling, plays Lucy Carlyle, a gifted Northern English teenager who joins the tenacious team at Lockwood & Co. Anthony Lockwood (Cameron Chapman) and his friend, George Karim, run a ghost-busting service (Ali Hadji-Heshmati).
Lockwood & Co. follows three teenagers as they battle each other with swords and quips, but will it be another Netflix show to get axed? Is this the final episode of the series? Maybe Lockwood and company won’t be able to bring the streaming behemoth any more misery for a very long time. We can find everything we know about a second season of Lockwood & Co. on Netflix.

Will There Be a Lockwood and Co Season 2 on Netflix?
As of the right moment, we have no idea. It is still too early to tell if Lockwood & Co. will be famous enough with Netflix subscribers for its notoriously choosy decision-makers to approve a second season. The good news is that Jonathan Stroud’s works have more than enough content to maintain a consistent narrative.
There are more books in the Lockwood & Co. series than what was adapted in the first season. In addition, Joe Cornish, the show’s creator and director, want to continue adapting the play. According to his comments to EW.com, the Lockwood team “would love” to return for Season 2.
There are some fantastic set pieces, twists, and new paths to come, and the novels keep improving as the series progresses. We’re crossing our fingers that the story Jonathan Stroud has masterfully written resonates with an audience.
When Will Lockwood and Co Season 2 Premiere on Netflix?
Even if Netflix does order a second season of Lockwood & Co., it could be a long before the spooky comedy is back. Originally scheduled to premiere in December 2020, Season 1 of Lockwood & Co. was ordered back in December 2019.
Production for the show’s first season began in London on July 5, 2021, and was completed in March of the following year. That means a single season of eight episodes took over two years to complete. Season 2 of Lockwood & Co. won’t premiere until at least the spring of 2025.
Lockwood and Co Season 2 Plot: What Will Happen?
After the first arc of Lockwood & Co. came to a close, some mysteries remained unresolved. Foremost among these is the question of what happened to Lockwood’s parents. The show opens with the news that they are both dead, but Anthony’s experience with the Golden Blade suggests there may be more to this history than meets the eye. Unfortunately, not even Anthony is aware of the full scope of the situation right now.
The mystery surrounding Lockwood’s upper room is the other central story point that must be resolved. He’s been guarding it all season and has repeatedly told everyone not to open it. But eight episodes in, Anthony believes it’s time to let his guard down and show his teammates.
The credits start right as the door opens, so we’ll have to wait a while to find out what’s in here. Either Lockwood is trying to shield the others from a dangerous secret he is keeping, or he is hiding something incredibly embarrassing. The latter is what we’re betting on; however, what exactly this is is still a mystery.
Is there a portal we haven’t found yet, or another magical artifact that could prove even more complex than the mirror? Maybe, just maybe, Lockwood’s parents are mummified and stuffed in there. At this time, any prediction would be as good as any other.
