With its final season of Netflix’s Lucifer, Chloe Decker and Lucifer’s relationship was brought to an end after six seasons of highs and lows.
Some fans are already speculating if Lucifer would return for more episodes on the streaming service even though season six has been advertised as the last. Season three was nearly cancelled, and season five was originally planned to be its last.
That being said, another revival wouldn’t be shocking, but at the time of writing, a seventh season of Lucifer doesn’t seem likely at all.
Lucifer Season 7 Release Date

Season five of Lucifer, which closed with a celestial war between Lucifer’s twin brother Michael and the Lord of Hell, was supposed to be the series’ last, but the show was unexpectedly renewed for a sixth season in June 2020.
Confirming this would be the “final storey” for Lucifer Morningstar, co-showrunner Joe Henderson promised fans that the additional episodes would not conflict with their ending plan when the show was renewed.
As he told Entertainment Weekly, “It’s the tale we were always planning to tell, but just written much broader and to me [now] so much more intriguing,” he said. In response to their request for one more narrative, we responded with the words “Yes,” but this is our final tale.

Co-star Lesley-Ann Brandt described it as “the conclusion of our journey.”.
Given that various shows have returned to television screens in recent years after hiatuses, a reunion season in the future isn’t completely out of the question.
Currently, Lucifer is gone and there will be no season seven, with stars Tom Ellis and Lauren German wanting to pursue new endeavours.
What Makes Lucifer Season 6 So Special?
According to Netflix’s original script, Lucifer was going to wrap up after five seasons with a major declaration regarding God. It was then that the streaming service stated that it had changed its mind and will continue the show for a sixth season. Finally, Lucifer was given the chance to say goodbye to its characters with ten more episodes in June 2020.
Those expecting for a Lucifer Season 7 announcement from Netflix should be patient. Lucifer’s official Twitter account made it plain that the final episode will be “FINAL final” when Season 6 was announced. According to the streamers and writers, Lucifer Season 6 is the last season for these characters.
Why Lucifer Season 7 Will Not Happen?
In the end, it all comes down to what the creators want. There is a strategy in place for the showrunners, Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich, to wind out the series, and they’re sticking to it.
When Netflix asked for 10 more episodes, the couple acknowledged to Entertainment Weekly that they almost didn’t do it. They were satisfied with the way Season 5 concluded and only after considerable deliberation did they come up with a plan for Season 6.

Lucifer Season 6 Ending
With an emotional and heartbreaking climax, Lucifer’s sixth season brought the series to a close, wrapping up the stories of all the main characters and paying homage to the Devil. Season 6 opens with Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) poised to become God after defeating his evil twin brother Michael.
As a result, the presence of Rory Morningstar (Brianna Hildebrand) prevented Lucifer from ascending to the throne of God. As a result, Lucifer decided to form a relationship with Rory, his son with Chloe Decker (Lauren German).
