Madison Argo Sudden Death
On September 28, 2023, Madison passed away unexpectedly in Marietta, Georgia, at the age of 32. Pamela Jo Scott Argo, Madison’s mother, passed away before him. He is survived by his devoted father, David T. Argo of Alexander City, by his sisters Audra (Argo) Kirkpatrick and Amanda Boone, who reside in Alexander City and Yokota Air Base, Japan, respectively, and by a large number of devoted aunts, uncles, and cousins.
On their Facebook page, The Lassiter Bands posted this information.
Madison was vivacious, active, and enthusiastic in whatever he did. Pam and David Argo gave birth to him in Alexander City, and he went to Benjamin Russell High School, where he participated in the wrestling and band programs that would influence the rest of his life.
Madison continued his education in music at Auburn University, where he held numerous leadership positions within the Auburn Bands department in addition to his duties as drum major. Madison cherished all about Auburn, and the friendships he formed there would follow him through several transfers and a decade.
He taught graduate courses at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and was a well-liked high school band director in Georgia and Texas. He most recently worked as a music instructor at Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia. Madison greatly impacted the band community, and the loss of such a champion for music is deeply felt throughout the neighborhood.
When Madison was in high school, he discovered his passion for fitness. As a young adult, he continued this passion by coaching and participating in CrossFit and numerous other sports events. His absence will be felt deeply in a sizable, close-knit fitness group that he leaves behind.
Madison was a happy, loving, and funny person. He constantly talked on the phone and enjoyed Sunday dinners with his father since he adored him. Even under the most trying circumstances, his trust in Christ kept him going. Everyone in the room felt like the most important person in the room, thanks to his strong hugs and belly laughs.

Madison Argo’s Illustrious Career: After Auburn University
Madison Argo’s journey from a conscientious student to a skilled professional was a blend of commitment and passion. He had the good fortune to serve as the director of Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia. Similar to this, he excelled during his time as a teacher at the Garland Independent School District.
His position at Whitewater High School, though, may have been one of his greatest accomplishments. The Wildcat Marching Band performed admirably under his expert guidance, but they also worked musical wonders.
