A guy was discovered dead with “suspicious” injuries on the beach of Lake Michigan close to Lake Forest on Saturday morning. The Lake County Major Crime Task Force is conducting an investigation. Around 5:10 a.m. on Saturday, the Highland Park Police Department reported an unconscious person in the 0-100 block of Cliff Road.
When police arrived, they discovered a dead adult male close to Lake Michigan’s coast. Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve in unincorporated Lake Forest, under the control of the Lake County Forest Preserve Police, was found to be the scene of the event, according to Christopher Covelli, a spokesman for the Lake County Major Crime Task Force.

After being called, the Lake County Forest Preserve Police took charge of the fatality investigation. The man’s injuries led the Lake County Forest Preserve Police to approach the Lake County Major Crime Task Force for help. The man’s injuries, according to Covelli, are seen to be suspicious.
Investigators from the Lake County Major Crime Task Force and Lake County Forest Preserve Police are working on the case. According to Covelli, there are no signs that the community is in danger. The Lake County Coroner’s Office is planning an autopsy. Following the initial investigation, further information is anticipated to be made public.
