FLORIDA’S LAKE COUNTY – The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is looking into a double homicide and s*xual battery in a mobile home park close to Clermont. According to the report, the sheriff’s office received a call just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday regarding the killing a woman and a teenager at 244 Jewelfish Road in the Thousand Trails Resort in Clermont. According to deputies, a lady in the house told them that Justin Lamar Jones, 41, had killed his stepson that morning after bashing him with a travel trailer and assaulting him with a hammer or knife.
An arrest document reveals that after screaming at Jones to stop, the woman, who has only been identified as his relative, claimed he tied her up before dragging her into the bedroom and raping her. According to the complaint, she was able to flee in the afternoon and rush to a neighbor’s house to request assistance.
According to Lt. John Herrell, “The female victim of the s*xual battery, unfortunately, heard this and saw this as it happened, and it’s just horrific all around.” According to Herrell, she told the sheriff’s office that she had seen a murder occur in the house and that the suspect had tied her up and assaulted her s*xually all day. Authorities claimed to have seen Jones’ SUV in the Publix parking lot at US Highway 27 and Hartwood Marsh Road. Jones tried to flee, but deputies managed to catch him and take him to arrest.
Detectives claimed they discovered a second body inside the trailer during their investigation. Later, according to deputies, Jones admitted to killing both his wife—later identified as Sandra Gaudino, 38—and his stepson—later identified as Ty Finister, 17—both of whose identities have not yet been made public. Herrell declared, “This is a horrible scenario. This is among the worst cases we have recently heard about.
The first victim, who Jones refers to as his wife or significant other, and the suspect got into an altercation that “developed into something violent, and that’s when he killed her with what is described as a tiny sledgehammer,” according to Herrell. According to investigators, Jones allegedly admitted to beating his stepson with the “mallet” before covering his head with a trash bag. The stepson’s and the woman’s relationship has not yet been verified by deputies. Jones is accused of kidnapping, se*xual battery, and two charges of first-degree murder.
