A guy was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail after reportedly attempting to steal a truck early on Friday and reaching for an officer’s gun as he was apprehended. Around five in the morning, the 44-year-old Salvado Lagunas was taken into custody.
For the investigation of aggravated robbery, he was disarming a police officer, obstructing commerce, impeding the administration of justice, assaulting an officer, and unruly behavior.
Initially, the 1150 S. region was where Salt Lake City police were summoned. A police booking affidavit claims Lagunas was “scaring staff” and “had a huge knife” on Gladiola Street. The affidavit claims that when the police arrived, they found Lagunas had moved across the street and attempted to steal a man’s truck.
According to the affidavit, the driver claimed that Lagunas was attempting to seize possession of the vehicle with the knife in his hand. The complainant claimed that the Lagunas’ conduct forced them to halt the regular running of their firm.
