Metro Boomin will put out a short film to go with his upcoming Heroes & Villains album. It will star Morgan Freeman, LaKeith Stanfield, and Gunna and Young Thug, who are both in jail at the moment.
The film, which Gibson Hazard will direct, will come out on Tuesday, November 29, before the album comes out on December 2.
The album was supposed to come out on November 4, but Metro had to push it back because of problems with getting sample clearance.
“I couldn’t get all the samples on my album cleared in time for next week, so I’m dropping on December 2nd instead,” he wrote on Twitter. “This way, I’ll have enough time to make sure you all get this masterpiece the way I meant.” “I promise it will be worth it!! P.S. I’d never change the date of my album because of someone else.”
His P.S. was a response to fans who thought the delay was to avoid competing with Drake and 21 Savage’s album Her Loss, which was set to come out on the original November release date for Heroes & Villains. But a few hours later, Drizzy posted on his Instagram Stories to say that the project was also being pushed back. This time, it was because his longtime collaborator Noah “40” Shebib got COVID-19.
Metro’s 2018 album, Not All Heroes Wear Capes, will be followed by Heroes & Villains, which is dedicated to the producer’s late mother, Leslie Wayne. In June, her husband, Metro’s stepfather, shot and killed her, which was a terrible accident.

Metro wrote in August, “This doesn’t even feel like real life anymore. It’s like a nightmare that never ends and starts over every time I wake up.” “My mom was and still is my best friend in the world, and anyone who knows me well knows I’ve always been a momma’s boy my whole life.”
He went on to say, “This must be what hell is like because it feels like my soul and everything around me are always burning.”
