After being put on hold for three years due to the Covid epidemic, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show is coming back for a sixth season. Later this year, a live audience at London’s Theatre Royal, Drury Lane will be a part of the backdrop for the recording of six new one-hour programs. The BBC has also announced that the comedian’s game program, The Wheel, will return with 12 new episodes later this year. Premiering in 2020, the show attracted a cumulative audience of 6.8 million people, making it the most watched new BBC Entertainment debut in a decade.
‘Three long years of no Unexpected Stars, of me not getting my hands on a single celebrity’s cell phone, of people sleeping sweetly without fear of me creeping into their bedrooms,’ McIntyre added, expressing his elation at the return of both programs to BBC One.
