Michael Symon has heart and soul as a chef. The Greek- and Sicilian-born native of Cleveland is responsible for the hearty, savory fare at Lola, Lolita, Roast, and B Spot in the Midwest. He brings his infectious sense of humor and a positive attitude into the kitchen daily as an Iron Chef on Food Network.
In 1998, Michael Symon was named Food & Wine’s Best New Chef, and since then, he has established himself as a culinary trailblazer. His eateries have also won some awards, with Bon Appetit naming B Spot one of the “Top 10 Best New Burger Joints” and the Fat Doug burger at his restaurant’s eponymous SoBe Wine & Food Festival location winning the People’s Choice Award.
In 2009, Michael Symon was honored with the “James Beard Foundation Award” for Best Chef in the Great Lakes, and the Detroit Free Press named his restaurant, Roast, “Restaurant of the Year.” Lola was named one of “America’s Best Restaurants” by Gourmet in 2000.

He hosted Food Feuds and Cook Like an Iron Chef, judged the third season of “The Next Iron Chef,” and competed in Iron Chef America. Michael Symon won the first season of The Next Iron Chef in 2008, cementing his spot as one of the world-famous Iron Chefs.

Michael Symon Lose Weight 2023
The process and reasoning behind Michael Symons’ weight loss were kept private. After appearing on multiple TV shows and following interviews, he realized he couldn’t hide the inspiration for his weight loss program or his workout and diet routine.
Michael’s 20-year-old rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis seemed at odds with his career choice, given that chefs often work on their feet for lengthy periods while holding a variety of instruments. He suffered greatly due to his autoimmune condition, leading to his immune system attacking his body’s cells.
To combat this peculiar illness, Michael had to watch what he ate. Therefore, he often turned to the meal he was most familiar with to improve his health. He had discus lupus, a skin condition that causes severe blistering and peeling when exposed to sunlight. These two health issues motivated him to start eating healthier and exercising regularly, which has paid dividends in his physical and mental well-being.

Symon recommends an anti-inflammatory diet low in processed carbs and sugary foods to help you lose weight. He also avoided eating red meat and white flour products. Moreover, eating these items will make your inflammation worse. After realizing these were his triggers, he cut them out of his diet.
Symon opened Lolita, a restaurant, in Cleveland in 2005. The Lolita restaurant he opened was quite successful. He advertised the restaurant on the first season of Best Food I’ve ever eaten but did not reveal his weight loss method. Symon has made numerous media appearances and has since shared his workout and diet routine.
