Here we are talking about Midtown Miami Shooting. Officials reported that an armed guy who barricaded himself inside a Midtown Miami high-rise following a shootout involving police was discovered dead His Most recent post was on Wednesday.
When reports of a suspicious guy in body armor and a long rifle in the lobby of a building in the 3400 block of East Coast Avenue first surfaced about three in the morning, Miami Police said officers were dispatched to the scene.
According to Miami Police Chief Manuel Morales, a witness directed the responding officers to the suspect’s residence. They approached the apartment, knocked on the door, and were immediately met by a person with a long gun, according to Morales.
Though they verbally ordered the suspect, the cops had no choice but to shoot him in self-defense, according to Morales. As SWAT team members, a K-9, and Miami Fire Rescue were also dispatched to the location, the man slammed the door shut and barricaded himself inside.

According to police, the building was evacuated as officers secured the floor and engaged in lengthy negotiations. Miami Police stated just after 7 a.m. that the man was discovered deceased in the room after SWAT entered. His identity remained a secret.
Residents claimed that he resided there and was in good health. According to Morales, “We don’t know whether he was a resident, whether he was visiting, or what his occupancy status was.” We knew he was there because the music was playing inside the flat.
Later on Wednesday, NBC 6 was informed by a neighbor that the suspect resided in the structure. He appeared to be a very calm individual with no problems at all. He appeared to be an ordinary individual, according to Jim Wallin, a neighbor.
I only came and went; we didn’t have a close relationship. Nothing unusual occurred. Before the cops arrived at his door, according to Wallin, he heard at least a few gunshots. As soon as he opened the door, he saw “approximately three or four police officers with their rifles drawn.”
Nothing has been confirmed by police as to WHY officers are here, but there is a heavy police presence surrounding a Midtown high rise building. I see SWAT on scene as well The perimeter expands to the Shops at Midtown. More at 5:30 on @nbc6 pic.twitter.com/8Ih79r3N7N
