YouTuber and Minecraft player Technoblade died at the age of 23 after a courageous battle with cancer. The Minecraft community is huge, which is not surprising given the game’s popularity and the variety of platforms on which it can be played. Key figures on YouTube have helped champion the game in a major way, but it is the community as a whole that has kept the game alive and thriving for so long.
Technoblade, a YouTube personality, reached this milestone by amassing a following of over 10 million people over the course of about a decade. The YouTuber’s oldest video dates back to 2013 and his channel showcases his love and excitement for the game as well as his tremendous ingenuity. Sadly, Technoblade’s father released one last video to the YouTuber’s channel to notify us that the beloved content creator has passed away at age 23.
Alex, better known as Technoblade, passed away from cancer and spent his final hours penning a letter to his fans. He wanted to make sure his father got to read it. Roughly eight hours after finishing the letter, Technoblade passed away. Technoblade’s father recalled his son’s dying days as well as his love for his child before the television turned to black with a message from his complete family.
Family members noted how Technoblade aimed to “please and reward his audience” with his videos and other endeavors. His family has asked that his true identity be kept hidden for the time being, and they have urged the audience to respect their privacy in light of this.
Our kid, who is fighting stage four cancer, has had a very difficult year,” Technoblade’s family wrote. “Although he knew the odds were stacked against him, he didn’t whine and kept applying his legendary strategic mind. Everyone who had the honor of sharing this journey with my son was inspired by his courage. For allowing us to follow him as he accomplished the work he loved for his devoted supporters, we are eternally grateful.”

Xbox Fans Are Calling For the End of Games With Gold
Fans of the Xbox brand are demanding the cancellation of the Games With Gold promotion, which currently gives Xbox One, Series S, and X owners two free Xbox One games every month, in addition to two free backward-compatible Xbox games (Xbox 360 or original Xbox) for the price of Xbox Live Gold. Xbox has yet to make any significant changes for the new generation, whereas PlayStation has already started doing so with its PS5 game subscription service PS Plus.

Games With Gold is behind the times in more ways than one. The games it provides month after month are consistently disappointing, especially when compared to the offerings of rival services. The Xbox Games With Gold roster for July was announced yesterday, and it is again another very dismal lineup of games, with two games that have been offered free in the past and another two games that people won’t care about.

In case you haven’t seen it yet, the lineup consists of four games: Torchlight, Thrillville: Off the Rails, Relicta, and Beasts of Maravilla Island. Fans of Microsoft’s console have not shown much enthusiasm about the revelation, at least based on the responses to the Xbox Wire page that broke the story. In fact, there are others who want to see Games With Gold discontinued entirely.
