If you’re a fan of harem anime, this is a great choice. Kimihito Kurusu declined to participate in the program voluntarily. Instead of sending Mia away, Kuroko Smith decided to take her in after she accidentally showed up at his door, afraid and embarrassed.
It doesn’t take long for him to adapt to the new hectic environment where he has to live with his new housemates while dealing with both their constant advances and helping them adapt to the human world, and some of them arrive more frequently, some are forced upon him by Smith and some of the others force themselves in.
He learns that he must marry one of the girls as a test case for new laws governing human-liminal partnerships, which intensifies the rivalry for his affections among the remaining women. Kimihito’s shame and the resentment of his housemates grow as other liminal girls vie for his attention.
Kimihito Kurusu is a typical high school student in Asaka, Saitama, with no prior knowledge of the exchange program. Instead of sending the terrified and ashamed Miia to go, the coordinator Kuroko Smith lets her stay with him during the time his parents are on extended leave since he can’t bear to send her away. Throughout the rest of the novel, Kimihito encounters and cares for female criminals from a variety of various species.
While some enter on their own accord, others are brought to him by Smith or simply infiltrate the residence. His new housemates’ incessant affectionate/romantic attempts and the dramas of helping them adjust to human life soon put Kimihito in an extremely stressful situation, and he soon finds himself unable to live peacefully with them.
When he learns that he would be required to marry one of the girls as a test case for reforms to the legislation governing human-liminal partnerships, the scenario takes on a new dimension, intensifying the girls’ competition for his attention. Kimihito’s discomfort and the resentment of his housemates grow when other liminal girls begin to show an interest in him.
