To conclude My Unorthodox Life’s first season, actress Julia Haart rises to the head of the table and raises a glass in salute. Looking over a table full of her children, her ex-husband, his new girlfriend, and her former coworker-turned-best friend, she declares, “I think that we are a really unusual and usual bunch of individuals.” Our friendships have endured the test of time, distance, and even disagreements on faith.
” Even though we are so diverse, we are seated together as one.”
As a first season of My Unorthodox Life set out to show, Haart’s departure from her ultra-Orthodox Jewish community at the age of 42 and her rise to the CEO of Elite World Group has had a profound effect on her work, her family, and her worldview.
Since it’s now been confirmed that the Haarts will be back, fans can expect more of the ritzy fun they had in season one (think: Paris Fashion Week, luxury outfits, boat parties) as well as more conversations about religion, feminism, and personal freedom. Everything we’ve learned about Season 2 thus far is collected here.
Will My Unorthodox Life Season 2 Come or Not?
A new season of My Unorthodox Life has been officially renewed, as Haart announced on The Ellen Show in September. According to a Netflix press release, season 2 will “include more fashion, family and female empowerment, religion and fabulousness, and of course, Haart.” Since the first season was released in the summer of this year, it is probable that the second season will be released in the summer of 2022.
Cast of My Unorthodox Life Season 2
Season 2 is expected to include all of Haart’s children, from his eldest daughter, Batsheva, to his oldest son, Shlomo, who is currently dating and planning to attend law school; his youngest daughter, Miriam, who is currently studying software engineering at Stanford; and his youngest son, Aron, who is still living in the ultra-Orthodox community that she left behind. There’s a good chance that Robert Brotherton, the COO of Elite World Group and Haart’s right-hand man, will be back in Season 2 as well.
Ben Weinstein, Batsheva’s spouse, may or may not appear in the future season. Season 1’s focus on the couple’s relationship showed how they’ve evolved after Haart left the village where they met and were married. They announced their separation in November, though.

“We have so much love and respect for each other, but we have recognised that it is time to take some distance to ensure that each of us lives the most joyful, full life imaginable,” the pair said on Instagram Stories in their storey. There aren’t any shady goings-on here.
Just two closest friends who met at a young age and have grown together over the previous nine years in different ways.” ‘Officially not-famous.'” was the caption on a photo of Weinstein taken by himself on Instagram. It’s unclear if their breakup will be shown in the episode.
As soon as the show premiered, it drew fire for the way it portrayed Orthodox Jewish life. There’s enough to cover in season 2.There were a number of Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox women who came forward to condemn Haart’s notion that women in these groups are repressed and expected to live primarily as spouses and mothers after the first season of My Unorthodox Life was televised.
It was stated by the New York Times that Haart promised to address the discussion about her show “in person” provided it could be videotaped as part of her presentation, according to an article about the controversy. Accordingly, Haart and the New York Times were unable “to agree on an alternative” when the Times rejected the deal.
The sole purpose of sharing my personal storey is to raise awareness about a society where women are denied the same opportunities as men, which is why my forthcoming book and season 2 of my show will continue to document my personal experience that I hope will allow other women to insist on the precious right to freedom.”
Season 2 might still address this subject, as Haart has mentioned it in a number of interviews since the show’s premiere. “My concern is that no male, no country, no philosophy, and no religion should tell women who they are meant to be and what they are supposed to do, else they are sinners and terrible,” she told ELLE.com when asked how she navigates these debates amid a time of increasing anti-Semitism. It’s not about God. This is not about Judaism at all. Fundamentalism is the one and only topic at hand.
