Washington – Authorities reported that the DC Police are looking into a fatal shooting that happened Sunday outside of Washington Nationals Park.
Around one o’clock, outside of nearby restaurants and pubs, on Van Street and N Street, the event took place. Officers arrived on the site and discovered a man with gunshot wounds inside a car, according to authorities.
Despite attempts to save his life, the man was declared dead right away. His identity wasn’t made public right away.
Police claim that the victim was the attack’s intended victim. In a video posted to Twitter, Commander Tasha Bryant said, “We do have preliminary evidence of a dark-coloured SUV seen departing the from the location at a fast rate of speed a short time after the shooting occurred.”

According to Bryant, the police are grateful that the incident didn’t draw large crowds to the neighbourhood. She also said that police are trying to eradicate the root causes of gun violence in the neighbourhood.
