Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s daughter made her first public appearance when she joined her parents at an event in Los Angeles. Malti Marie Chopra Jonas smiled with her mother on Monday as her father was given a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
The couple told people in January of last year that their daughter had been born through a surrogate. Malti Marie sat with Chopra during the ceremony and later joined the family photos. She wore a small woollen cardigan and a white hairband.

At the ceremony, Chopra was joined by Danielle Jonas and Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on “Game of Thrones.” Kevin and Danielle Jonas’s daughters Valentina Jonas and Alena Jonas, who are Malti Marie’s cousins, were also at the event.
Nick said that Chopra was the “calm in the chaos and the rock in the storm” when he accepted the awards. He also said that being parents together was “the greatest gift.” Addressing his daughter, he added: “Malti Marie, I can’t wait to come back here with you in 15 years and embarrass you and your friends.”
Chopra had previously said that her daughter “wasn’t going to be gossip” in response to negative comments about her surrogate pregnancy.
She told British Vogue about her pregnancy and the birth, “I feel like I have a centre, a sense of calm, because every choice I make ends up being about her.”
I’ve been really protective of this chapter of my life with my daughter because it’s not about my life only, it’s hers too.”
