Even though Kirby and the Forgotten Land for the Nintendo Switch was released earlier this year, it appears that Nintendo will still be working on the beloved pink blob in 2022. This summer, multiplayer Kirby hijinks will be introduced via Nintendo’s recently released Kirby game for the Nintendo Switch, Kirby’s Dream Buffet. A precise release date has not yet been made public.

According to Nintendo’s introduction of the new Kirby video game, “Kirby’s Dream Buffet finds Kirbys rolling around a feast of food-themed stages in four rounds of furious multiplayer action.” Players will compete against one another through these scrumptious obstacle courses in order to collect strawberries as Kirby ages. To win, players must knock opponents off the level and use their well-known Copy Abilities, or Copy Food Abilities as they are known in this game.

Nintendo makes it clear that while online multiplayer requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership, local multiplayer may require extra games, consoles, and accessories. Beyond that, Kirby’s Dream Buffet appears to revolve around competing in four rounds of food-themed tasks on levels with up to four players while navigating obstacle courses.
