Officials from the suburban community of Buffalo Grove said that five persons were discovered dead in a residence on Wednesday. Police were called to a one-family home at 11:12 a.m. to check on a woman’s well-being. When they couldn’t get in touch with her, they forced their way inside. According to a press release posted to Buffalo Grove’s Facebook page, police discovered five dead inside the house.
The announcement stated that preliminary police investigations show the deaths were the result of a “domestic-related incident.” It went on to say that the killings happened on the 2800 block of Acacia Terrace.
Officials from Buffalo Grove requested that locals stay away from the area in a different news release that was released earlier on Wednesday by the village’s Molly Gillespie.

Although there was “no threat to the public” at the time, Gillespie claimed “significant police activity” at the scene where the corpses were recovered. In their Wednesday night news release, officials reiterated that there was no threat to the public. The Buffalo Grove police are working with the Lake County Major Crime Task Force to look into the killings.
According to the announcement, the names of the five fatalities will not be released until after the coroner’s investigation is over and the families have been informed. A request for comment Wednesday night was not immediately answered by the Lake County medical examiner’s office. Around nine o’clock in the evening, police cars and yellow tape surrounded the area.
An officer close to the incident said he was unable to establish that the address was the location where the bodies had been located, despite emergency officials have put up a tent outside a residence at 2830 Acacia Terrace that was hidden by trees. The narrow street was lined with news vans. Large, surrounding two-story homes were silent, although a few nearby residents approached the police line.
The Buffalo Grove native Samuel Entin said, “We never would have anticipated anything like this to ever happen here.” Hours ago, the 18-year-old had learned of the deaths. He claimed that Entin and his family visited friends because they were concerned they might be the ones who had been discovered. When a neighbor noticed police lights passing through their backyard, Justin Katin learned of the tragedy. According to him, the 17-year-old lives nearby across the golf course. I frequently stroll down this street. “Everyone is extremely amiable and says hello,” said Katin.
