Omarion Early Life
Leslie Burrell and Trent Grandberry gave birth to him on November 12, 1984, in Inglewood, California, as Omari Ishmael Grandberry. O’Ryan, his younger brother, is a singer as well. In 1999, Omari, then known as Omarion, joined the boy band B2K. B2K, short for “Boys of the New Millennium,” is the name of the group. They began their career as Lil Bow Wow’s opening act on tour. Lil Wayne acknowledged Omarion’s connection to his record label, Young Money Entertainment, in March 2009. Four months later, due to business issues, he ended his relationship with the label. Omarion founded StarrWorld Entertainment, his own label, at the beginning of 2010. He re-released the song he had previously made with Lil Wayne, “I Get It In,” but Gucci Mane took Wayne’s place.
