Peaky Blinder Season 6 Is Coming?
Peaky Blinder Season 6 will undoubtedly explore Thomas Shelby’s mental health. After his unsuccessful assassination attempt on Oswald Mosley at the conclusion of season 5, he begins to disintegrate as a combat veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder. When the sixth season premieres, we’ll know who betrayed Tommy.
Thomas Shelby is also being reprised by Cillian Murphy. Though Aunt Polly Gray actress Helen McCrory is not featured in the season, he’ll have the support of many other Shelby family actors. The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak prevented McCrory from filming any sequences before to her death in April 2021.
It was hard to go on set without her because “she was a close, dear chum and she was the throbbing heart of that programme, so it felt really awkward,” Murphy said in an interview with Esquire. To think that this programme would have had Helen in it if it weren’t for Covid is a tough concept to grasp. The only thing I can say about her is that she was so quiet and bold.”
During a Q&A session, Cillian Murphy shared his thoughts on filming the last season.
Cillian Murphy discussed filming Peaky Blinders Season 6 in an interview with Esquire. Final season filming was difficult due to coronavirus limitations. Murphy also mentioned the hardships he had in his personal life.
According to him, it was “not a very nice shooting experience for a number of various reasons”.
Lockdown meant that Murphy had to go back and forth between the set and his rental home in order to shoot his sequences. He couldn’t go anyplace else. As a result of Helen McCrory’s death, the whole season’s screenplay had to be rewritten. Everyone, including Murphy, was devastated by the news. Finally, Murphy calls the last season of the show as “black as f***,” which is likely owing to the on-screen content and the significant loss of McCrory.
