According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a crash in Pomona resulted in at least one fatality and 12 additional injuries, some of which were critical. At 7:45 p.m., a collision at Holt Avenue and Dudley Street was reported. While the original reports stated that nine persons were involved, that number ultimately rose to 13. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
In addition to the deceased, 12 other people suffered injuries, with 10 of them necessitating hospital transportation. Two patients received on-site care and were then discharged. According to the Fire Department, some of the victims are in critical condition.

A dark-coloured compact automobile, which was seen at the scene partially within the tent that had earlier covered the taco stand, appears to have damaged what looks to be a taco stand. In addition, numerous patients were being placed into ambulances, many of whom needed gurneys or stretchers.
Officers are on scene of a traffic collision near W. Holt Ave. and Dudley St. with one confirmed fatality and multiple injuries. Please avoid the area while Officers conduct their investigation. More information will be provided when available.

According to Aly Mejia, a spokeswoman for the Pomona Police Department, the motorist was apprehended after originally fleeing the scene. K-9 cops assisted in the search for the driver, who has only been identified as a woman.
“Eastbound and westbound Holt Ave. between Erie St. and Dudley St. are restricted to traffic as Officers complete their investigation,” the Pomona Police Department tweeted. Police urged people to avoid the area because there was a current investigation going on.
