According to rumours, R. Kelly is engaged to one of his victims. According to legal documents that TMZ was able to get, the R&B artist intends to wed Joycelyn Savage. Right before Robert Kelly’s sentencing hearing last month, Savage formally introduced himself as Kelly’s fiancé to the federal judge. The 55-year-old disgraced singer, according to Savage, is “an amazing person,” and she claims that she is “not the victim that the government has represented me to be.”
She writes, “He’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” “We are completely in love and have a really strong connection. I continue to stand by Robert because I adore him and will always be there for him. The government’s description of Robert as a monster is untrue. The Robert I am familiar with is incredibly nice, kind, and compassionate. In the end, he has always made sure that I and any other ladies he was with are taken care of.

Savage’s family is reportedly unaware of the engagement. Savage’s parents’ lawyer Gerald Griggs claims he was not aware of and “seriously doubts” the account of the engagement. Griggs questions why Savage revealed it in a letter that was sent to the court rather than testifying about it under oath. Savage hasn’t spoken to her family much since she moved out to live with Kelly, so it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary.
Kelly once shared a home with Savage and Azriel Clary, who called themselves his “girlfriends.” In an emotional 2019 interview with Gayle King, both ladies defended their relationship in the face of the accusations. Following Kelly’s conviction on federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, Clary, who testified against him in court, appeared to react.
