Reacher Season 2: Reacher season 1 premiered on Amazon Prime in 2022. It was based on the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child. Reacher was picked up for a second season on the streaming service just three days after the first season started. It’s not the first time we’ve seen Jack on the big screen. In the 2010s, Tom Cruise was in two action movies where he played Jack. Alan Ritchson, who is 6 feet 2 and a little taller than the guy in the books who is 6 feet 5 inches tall, plays Reacher in the TV show. This gives the character a whole new look.
The show’s first season was written by Nick Santora, who was nominated for an Emmy. It was about a former military policeman who was wrongfully jailed for a murder he didn’t commit. He fought against corrupt police officials, politicians, and businesses. So, he had to fight many bad guys to prove who he was.
Once it came out in the US and other places, the original series went straight to the top five most-watched shows on Prime Video. Reacher got a second season, which is not surprising at all, and that is what we will talk about today.
When & Where to Watch Reacher Season 2
As of now, the exact date of release has not been announced. The second season of Reacher started filming in September 2022, according to the official Instagram account, and it is expected to come out in Spring 2023. Given how quickly Season 2 was approved and how well fans responded, we can be sure that it will be bigger and better than ever.
Reacher Season 2 will come out first on Amazon Prime Video in all markets, just like the first season. This is great for people worldwide who read Lee Child’s books because it’s on one platform, and you don’t have to use a VPN or look for another streaming service like you do with many other shows.

Reacher Season 2 Storyline
Alan Ritchson announced on Twitter that the new season would be based on Lee Child’s 11th book in the Jack Reacher series, Bad Luck and Trouble. This lets us know what the new season will be about.
“You do not mess with Jack Reacher,” says the book’s summary. He is about as hard to find as someone can get. A person who prefers to be alone and doesn’t mind being anonymous. So when someone from his old Army unit figures out how to get in touch with him, he knows it must be important.
“The Special Investigators are not to be messed with. In the past, the best team always looked out for each other. Now, one of them has been found dead in the desert of California, and six are still missing. Reacher can’t forget that his old friends are in big trouble.
The child had talked about which of the Reacher books could be turned into the show’s next episode. “I haven’t read any of them. I wrote them down. I’ve never reread them. I know them because of what other people say about them,” the Child said.
“And some of them are very well-known. And I think the best thing about the first season was how Reacher’s relationships with other people helped him feel less lonely. I’d like to see more of that. And in that way, two or three books stand out. So perhaps one of those.”
Reacher Season 2 Cast
Alan Ritchson, who played Reacher’s main character, will be back as the former US army military police major, but that’s all we know.
Even though the setting is likely to change, Malcolm Goodwin, who plays Oscar Finlay, the captain and chief detective of the Margrave Police Department, and Willa Fitzgerald, who plays MPD officer Roscoe Conklin, whom Reacher encouraged to run for mayor in the last episode, could be back.
Maria Sten could also come back as Frances Neagley, who was in the army with Reacher and is now a private detective. Bruce McGill, who played the corrupt mayor Grover Teale, and Chris Webster, who played the bad guy KJ Kliner, were both killed by Roscoe and Reacher in the last episode, so we wouldn’t expect them to come back.
