Reiji Miyajima is the creator of the Japanese manga series Rent-A-Girlfriend (Japanese: Hepburn: Kanojo, Okarishimasu). Since July 2017, it has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shnen Magazine, and as of September 2022, it has been collected into twenty-eight volumes. Kodansha USA acquired the North American rights to the series and published the first volume in English in June 2020.
Based on the manga by the same name, TMS Entertainment animated a TV series that aired on MBS’s Super Animeism block from July to September 2020. The second season premiered in 2022 and ran from July to September. The renewal for a third season has been announced. In July of 2022, a live-action television drama adaption made its debut.
Rent A Girlfriend Season 3 Storyline
After one month of dating, Kazuya Kinoshita’s girlfriend, Mami Nanami, breaks up with him. He chooses to rent a gorgeous woman named Chizuru Mizuhara through an internet dating service. However, he rates her poorly since he believes she is not genuine. His first clue that Chizuru is a meanie comes when she scolds him about it at their next scheduled meeting.
At that very moment, Kazuya finds out that his grandma has collapsed and has been taken to the hospital. When Chizuru arrives, his grandmother can’t stop gushing about how wonderful she is. Kazuya keeps hiring Chizuru to maintain his social status among his friends and family.
Still, things get problematic when he learns that she lives in the apartment below him and goes to the same university. The other girls who work in the girlfriend rental industry eventually join in.
After his previous girlfriend, Mami Nanami ends their relationship in the first season of the anime series Rent-a-Girlfriend, the main character, Kazuya Kinoshita, utilizes a dating app to rent a new girlfriend named Chizuru Mizuhara.
It should be no surprise that Kazuya’s dating life quickly becomes problematic when he inadvertently reveals Chizuru as his genuine girlfriend to his grandma. As a result, Chizuru and Kazuya are forced to put up a false couple facade in front of Kazuya’s friends and family.
It is anticipated that Kazuya and Chizuru’s connection will continue to develop during Season 2 as the intensity of Kazuya’s genuine affection for Chizuru increases. On the other hand, Chizuru divulges a startling fact that will significantly impact their relationship. Characters like Ruka Sarashina and Sumi Sakurasawa, who are very small but add a lot of color to the show, will have more appearances and stories.
Ruka has a girlfriend who works for another company, although she is interested in having a severe relationship with Kazuya. Sumi is a rookie in the rental girlfriend sector attempting to carve out a niche for herself.
