On Wednesday in Round Lake Beach, a car accident that authorities believe was caused by an intoxicated driver left a Round Lake man and his 5-year-old son dead and several family members injured.
According to Round Lake Beach police (official site), the motorist, Adam Peregrin, 41, of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, is accused of 15 counts of severe DUI and two counts of reckless murder. The police did not identify the man and boy who died.

The truck Peregrin was operating crossed the middle line of Route 83 near Lexington Drive in Round Lake Beach, according to the police, and collided with the car the man, his son, and other family members were crashed in this incident.

Peregrin was operating a vehicle while under the influence of a controlled narcotic, investigators found, according to the police. He was arrested and transferred to the Lake County jail, where he is still being held. If Peregrin wants to be released while his case is still pending, he must post $100,000 in cash.
