According to the New Hampshire State Police, the fatal accident that occurred on the Spaulding Turnpike on Monday afternoon was caused by a tractor-trailer that was being driven by a man from the state of Massachusetts.
According to the state police, the collision involving many vehicles took place on Route 16 in Dover at approximately 2:35 p.m.
The authorities claim that the tractor-trailer was heading south on Route 16 when it veered off the route to the left, went over the guardrail, and entered the travel lane of Route 16 that was designated for northbound traffic.
On Route 16 heading north, the tractor-trailer was then involved in a collision with a 2022 Acura and a 2016 Honda Accord. In an effort to avoid being involved in a collision with the tractor-trailer, a second car went through the barrier and crashed into it.

It was determined that the person behind the wheel of the tractor-trailer was a 29-year-old resident of Fitchburg named Pedro Ivan Ortiz Andino. There is currently insufficient evidence to determine whether or not Ortiz Andino will be prosecuted for any crimes connected to the collision.
