Ohio’s LAKE COUNTY — In Lake County on Friday afternoon, a pickup truck, a school bus, and an SUV were all involved in an accident that sent two individuals to the hospital.
The incident occurred on Ravenna Road near State Route 84 in Concord Township at 3 p.m., according to a Lake County Sheriff’s Office report.
A Ford F-350 allegedly crossed a double yellow line. According to deputies, it struck a Riverside School District bus while traveling south on Ravenna Road, just south of the intersection of Liberty Street and SR 84.

The vehicle struck a Buick Envision SUV head-on as it continued south in the northbound lane. The F-350 drove south before crashing over a guardrail and into a ravine as the SUV stopped. It was partially supported on the canyon by a little tree and stump.
The F-350’s driver, a man, according to sheriff’s officials, was freed by fire personnel. For treatment of his wounds, the individual was transferred to MetroHealth Trauma Center. As of Friday night, his status remains unknown.
Three kids were riding the school bus when it was struck. There were no reported injuries, and the bus only suffered minor damage. The Envision’s driver was taken to Tri-Point Medical Center for treatment after suffering minor injuries.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said alcohol does not seem to contribute to the crash, despite the fact that the incident is still being investigated. Ravenna Road was closed for about three hours while workers tried to get the F-350 out of the gully.
