On Tuesday night in Lexington, a man was taken to the hospital after being shot at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in West Columbia.
Jonathan Harden Alique Walker, age 20, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
According to Sheriff Jay Koon, Walker and the victim were both employees and knew one another through mutual ties at their respective places of employment. Koon shared their chat history, saying, “There had been some conversations back and forth between the two of them last night.”

Koon claims that Walker got into a dispute with the victim in the parking lot, where he shot the victim many times before leaving. After being shot, according to Koon, the victim was still able to drive away in a vehicle. After the driver contacted 911, sheriff’s deputies and emergency medical personnel located the victim a short distance away.
According to Koon, he was sent to a local hospital, and while there, “He immediately went into surgery; beyond that, we have no word on his status.”
Walker was arrested on Wednesday morning after being found at his residence and sent to the Lexington County Detention Center.
