Wednesday was a busy day at Greenbrier Mall, but it turned into a chaotic situation when customers thought they heard gunshots being fired inside the mall. According to the police, there was a theft currently taking place at the time.
People were seen sprinting outside the Greenbrier Mall shortly after 5:40 p.m. after hearing gunshots inside the mall. The police were rushed to the scene. When the police officers arrived at the area, they discovered the sound source was two individuals breaking a case inside a jewelry store.
According to the police, nobody fired any shots.
The perpetrators, who were described by the police as being two black individuals, made their getaway on foot after stealing a quantity of stuff whose value is unclear. The suspects may be seen in the store in the surveillance photo that was supplied by the police.
