Police reported that two people were reportedly shot dead in a legal firm in Goldsboro on Monday afternoon.
According to a news release from Goldsboro police, the incident was described as a gunshot at the Riddle and Brantley Law Firm at 601 N. Spence Ave.
According to the news release, two individuals were found inside the establishment dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds when the police arrived.
According to the police, one of the deceased fired a fatal shot.
James Crearer is employed by the gas station across the street from the business called Hop In.
Crearer remarked, “We saw cops coming from both directions, and I heard the sirens. “At first, I didn’t know what was happening, but I knew it was intense because I saw the cops as they came out…the cars they had their guns out immediately,” the witness said.

He claimed that he was in shock after finding out what had occurred.
Crearer described it as “very shocking, couldn’t believe it, and unbelievable.” “You know, you gotta be careful. The world we live in right now is pretty crazy.”
The Investigative Services Bureau of the Goldsboro Police Department arrived on the scene.
In the news release, it was stated that the investigation was still ongoing.
According to authorities, the names of the deceased won’t be made public until after relatives have been contacted.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office provided assistance at the incident. A team from CBS 17 is also responding.
